Pro Staff Stories - Big Atlantic Browns in small streams

The Atlantic browns in tiny pocket water

In Summer of 2019 I visited small pocket water, a stream that connects into the Adda River in the Valtellina the stream was very tight with about 1m of depth, I didn't expect to find big fish of that size fish in that water so I went prepared with ultralight gear for smaller brownies, The Brownie chased my lure right up to my feet and fought for just 10 seconds It literarily flew into my landing net, about 43cm long, surely born in that stream, even though it was small water, I will never go back with lightweight gear because more trout of that size hide there.
